For Student?

At JONSSON, we believe it is important to build relationships with our future colleagues, and we therefore want to actively work with you as students. Whether you are studying in high school, vocational education, or at a university/college, we want to collaborate with you through:

  • Thesis projects (Master/Bachelor thesis)
  • Internships
  • Project courses

The areas where we primarily can accommodate students are engineering programs, welding, computer science, and product development. But if your field isn’t listed here, don’t hesitate to get in touch! We are more than happy to meet with students to see what interests you. Perhaps you have an idea of what you could do with us just by looking at our website or other channels—something we haven’t even thought of ourselves.

Examples of previous thesis projects

Investigation of operational reliability and support functions for PLC-controlled crushing plants, with an additional study on the efficient management of AdBlue technology and auto-stop functions for diesel generators.

The purpose of the project is to investigate and implement the necessary PLC functions to facilitate troubleshooting and increase the availability of the crusher. By designing and implementing these functions, the project aims to improve support and service, reduce unplanned downtime, and increase efficiency for both operators and service personnel.

In addition to developing a PLC-controlled crusher, the project also focuses on addressing new environmental requirements related to AdBlue technology for diesel engines in the company's genset. The goal is to identify strategies to reduce downtime and maintenance costs through the analysis and optimization of idling, as well as the implementation of auto-stop functions to comply with the new environmental regulations.

Dust separators for mobile rock crushers

The purpose of the thesis project therefore consisted of a feasibility study of the existing market offerings, as well as creating a conceptual dust separator system to partly minimize dust and its impact on people and nature, and partly create better conditions for repair and maintenance.
